No Meadowlarks yet, but the I saw a flight of 10 Pelicans working their way to a body of water yesterday morning on the way to work.
80 degree temps thanks to a late season Chinook that blew in at 4:30am this morning.
I heard a Red Wing trying to remember how to sing this afternoon, and last week it was Gamboling Calves in the meadows along 36.
Next up is the Annual Death of the Fruit Tree Blossom Festival.
In other news, The radio on the way home kept droaning on and on about snow and accidents, and accidents caused by snow and whiteouts.

I am sure that this may all be true, as soon as it quits raining.
Spring is around the Corner!
I saw a flock of 20 or so male Robin’s in the trees near the pond in back of work this evening.
So Stock Show weather a month early. The only benefit of it being this cold is that there was a Sundog on the way in to work.
Trace of snow over night and no wind, though still very much winter.
Also, it looks to be time for my yearly reminder for folks to buy a pair of Yaktrax for all your walking on ice needs.
After the fail on the snow Friday night, we finally got some last night. 6″ of fluffy perfect for snowballs snow…which is all promptly melting right now. =P

6″-36″ in and around the foothills….which is a great prediction since it covers them if it snows anything over 6″.
Genius!
So, we have the possibility of anything from Rain (which it is currently doing) to 3′ of snow.
UPDATE: Yep, weather panic ‘09 (complete with Drudge flashing lights!) was a bit bust with only 2″ of snow on the deck railing and grass, and an inch on the pavement. But, was made the drive in really nasty was that the rain from last night sort of froze, with the small amount of snow to make a lovely slush to make driving in very exciting (lurves 4WD and Anti-lock breaks).
Sunday morning the storm clouds were so dak, that at 9am it was as dark as it usually is at say 7:30am.
It was spitting snow in the morning, drizzle until the evening when it started snowing again in the evening.
This morning?
Clear skies with the stars out, and snow on the roofs and cars.
Basically, Holloween weather was one week to early.
