A few weeks back, NPR had this piece on Albert Kuvezin and his new album with the band Yat-Kha. Not that a new band is any big thing, but the was the “thing” was that he had taken his native Tuvan Throat Singing and remade a bunch of Rock songs that he liked.
Wow, some of them are amazing.
