Via Crooks and Liars a wonderful clip of Meat the Press back when it was actually meeting the Press v the current gladhanding softball face time show that the idiot Tim Russert turned it into.
Enjoy (audio only) St. Ronnie’s time in the hot seat from 1974.

Andy Hallett, who starred as Lorne (”the Host”) on the TV series Angel, died of heart failure last night at age 33, according to his longtime agent and friend Pat Brady. The actor passed away at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles after a five-year battle with heart disease, with his father Dave Hallett by his side.
Hallett, from the Cape Cod village of Osterville, Mass., appeared on more than 70 episodes of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spinoff, Angel, between 2000 and 2004. The accomplished actor was also a musician and sang two songs (”Lady Marmalade” and “It’s Not Easy Being Green”) on the Angel: Live Fast, Die Never soundtrack, released in 2005.
The actor’s character on Angel was Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan, or Lorne for short. Hallett’s Lorne was a friendly demon, who, when not assisting Angel and his team in the investigation of various and sundry underworld mysteries, served as the host and headliner at a demon bar.

Only 33, wow, sad.

The Westwords’s 2009 Best of Denver is out…which I missed because of the snow. Luckily, so did everyone else.
Something for me to hunt for on the Dial:
Best Radio Station – Commercial – Indie 101.5
Best shop at DIA?
New Belgium Hub: Who knew that the New Belgium Brewer had a store at DIA?
And many, many more cool and good things.

Last night I got my first Toon (Mshai, the Tempest of Set) to the 80 level cap in AoC.
The last ten levels take an amazing amout of time and grinding if you have an aversion to things like PUG’s, or it is just like the previous ten levels if you Lurves you some PUG’s with all your might.
The main reason for this is that the last ten levels are pretty much all Group Quests that of course take not only a full group a lot of time and effort to complete…but a group that knows what it’s doing to complete them.
You need Toons that are spec’d to PvE, not to some folks bizarre concept of “”Raid” or “PvP” speccing (“Gee, that’s wonderful that you are a PvP god, but you can’t tank your way out of a paper bag.”).
I have been in one successful Raid (Vistrix) and two Unsuccesful (Yakmar – Mostly because the ones running it are still trying to come up with a strategy), and they are amusing.
Wednesday DX10 hit and made the already purty game even more purty.

Left work at 10:00, spent an hour getting to the Turnpike, things were nice once I got on to it.
Until…
Just past the McCaslin exit when the radio finally stated the the Turnpike was closed at Wadsworth (where I get onto it from work) to Table Mesa (Yeah, TableTable, what do you expect from Guello’s). Now of course it was a whiteout ground blizzard at this point. Spent the next two hours either parked or moving up a car length as folks worked their way through the stuck trucks, busses and cars.
12+ inches here at home.
